Our 150th Jubilee
Join us in early 2025 to celebrate Owaka and District Schools' 150th Jubilee 1875-2025.
Schools involved in this Jubilee include:Owake/Owaka, Owaka District High School, Otekura, Ahuriri Flat, Purakauiti, Houipapa, Glenomaru, Ratanui, Browns/Owaka Valley, Tahatika, Tawanui, Tarara, Purekireki, Pounawea, Puketiro, Catlins River/Hinahina, Romareka, Katea, Papatowai/Stuarts, Chaslands, Rimu, Kahuika, Maclennan, Tahakopa, Tautuku, Waipati, Port Molyneux, The Catlins Area School.
School photos will be available to order directly from Photographer on the day and via online link.

Friday 7th March
| 12.30pm – 3.00pm | The Catlins Area School tours with current pupils
| 7.00pm | Registrations, social time and supper (Owaka Memorial Community Centre)
Saturday 8th March
(Owaka Memorial Community Centre)
| 9.00am | Registrations
| 10.00am | Official welcome, Kapahaka, photos, cake cutting, bell ringing, school photos - followed by morning tea
| 11.00am | Other activities: free museum entry, class displays at TCAS including maps and photos, tour of arboretum
| 12.00pm | Bell ringing at TCAS
Lunch at TCAS with food trucks, stalls and local businesses. (Maps will be available for self- drive tours)
| 7.30pm | Dance and supper Owaka Memorial Community Centre
Sunday 9th March
| 10.00am | Jubilee Church Service (Owaka Memorial Community Centre)
| 11.15am | Opening of paved path (from Connell Gates to site of old Owaka school) with Morning tea to follow (Owaka Memorial Community Centre)
Farewell
(The Owaka Museum will provide free entry for the weekend to all registrants)
