A N G E L A   M C A L P I N E

Angela was absolutely delighted that a position came up for a teacher of the Arts at The Catlins Area School. After 13 years teaching at Hawera High School in Taranaki she was keen to move back to the South Island and had her sights on a small school in a beautiful location. What better place to match that description than TCAS! 

At her previous school Angela was the Art HoD (Head of Department), specialising in senior painting. Angela also enjoyed the freedom of the junior programme where students explored sculpture, stencilling and printmaking. 

Angela is looking forward to teaching Art to all levels and getting to know her Year 9 and 10 whānau class while also being involved in community projects. When she isn't at school you'll find Angela flying past on her bike, playing her ukulele, in the garden or creating ceramics and painting.
