In Term 4, Astrid, Austin, Cypress, Elyssa, Harper, Laine, Sueloa, and Te Aroha from Lawrence Area School travelled to Dunedin to compete at the Edgar Centre in the Junior Volleyball Competition. This was a short competition of seven games, and the team was well supported by Otago Volleyball, who allowed them to play two games an evening, so only four weeks of travel to Dunedin were required.

"I enjoyed improving on my serving and playing teams from other schools." - Elyssa

"Obviously winning was great and watching everyone improve on skills and communication too. Everyone got along too." - Harper

All students made amazing improvements from the first game to the last and the team won six (6) of their seven (7) games. All students are looking forward to the next volleyball competition in Term 1 of 2025.
