A day at the beach!
Room 2 completed a rubbish audit in a picturesque setting!
Room 2 were lucky enough to end the term with a trip to the Kākā Point Beach. This was a great way to finish their term concept on 'service'. Everyone has learnt what service is, different kinds of service and how that can be shown in the community. Room 2 also learnt how they can be great kaitiakis of our environment and the world around us. We were very fortunate to have Scott Martin from Enviroschools meet us at Port Molyneux. Scott demonstrated how we can show service to the environment and community by being part of a beach clean-up and audit. It was fantastic to clean up shared spaces in our community and was similar to what we accomplished earlier in the year within the school grounds.
It was great to be a part of providing a service to people and animals in our community. We had our lunch, and had some time to enjoy the beach. They played games and made sandcastle masterpieces. What a great way to end the year!
