Alice in Wonderland - where dreamers and rebels change the world!
Production has taken a back seat for a few years but returned with a vengeance! Ākonga from Years 7 to 13 spent months practicing Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Both a matinee and an evening performance were held in the school hall for students, whānau, and the wider community.
Yui Nakajima, cast as the lead Alice, delivered an incredible performance in every scene. Not only did the acting impress, but most characters also showcased their talents with solo singing and dancing. The production truly highlighted talent within our community, with every actor contributing to a memorable show.
A massive thank you to Ms. Smith for her tireless organisation, dedicated rehearsals, and overseeing the entire project. Special mention goes to Marion Leslie from the South Otago Theatrical Society for the stunning costumes, Matthew Simpson and Angela McAlpine for their phenomenal prop-making skills, Mia Cable and Robyn Lietze for exceptional backstage organisation, and Room 19 for the backdrop artwork.
This production would not have been possible without your collective effort—thank you all!
