Senior students Winter sport write up

With Winter Sports coming to an end over the next few weeks, some of our senior students who have combined with South Otago High School in Winter Sports will give a brief outlook on how their season has gone. This week, Robbie Jackson has written about his Hockey season with SOHS:

2019 Hockey season by Robbie Jackson

2019 was my fourth season of playing hockey with SOHS where I have really enjoyed playing turf Hockey in Dunedin. It has been great to learn the skills that come with turf hockey and get to know all the players. This year is most likely going to be my final year playing for SOHS. I will be finishing on a high as our team has made it all the way to the division finals two years running. This season, we faced our only defeat in the final after we made a few mistakes as we didn't play our best but we managed to keep the score to 1-0, but that's all part of the game!

I highly recommend to anyone in Years 9-13, to play hockey for SOHS. It will give you a great experience and opportunities, and overall just have a great time.

Otago Primary School Cross Country

Today, Olivia Hartvigsen and Cooper Cleland competed in the Otago Primary Schools Cross Country in Dunedin where nearly 700 hundred students ran. We will bring you the results next week.

Winter Tournament Week

Next week is ‘Winter Tournament Week’ for senior students that will see Mat Dreaver travelling to Christchurch to play Rugby at the Under 15 Tournament while Logan Bird, Adam Pullar, Josh Boam and John Waters Wilkinson will spend the week in Dunedin playing Football.

Good luck to you all.
