A wide range of co-curricular activities are offered at The Catlins Area School. Co-curricular activities and team participation provide opportunities for students to develop a sense of belonging, to support and encourage others, to learn about leadership, create group spirit and resolve conflict. Our learners begin to understand how to interact constructively with others while working towards a common goal, they are offered opportunities to perfect their own individual skills and talents.
At The Catlins Area School, all students are strongly encouraged to participate in a wide variety of our co-curricular activities, a few are listed here:
Band, Orchestra, Choir, Chorale, Individual or small group instrumental tuition, School Production, Music Festival, Kapa Haka.
Area Schools Tournament, Athletics, Badminton, Cross Country, Soccer, Hockey, Rugby, Touch, Triathlon, Rippa Rugby, Netball, Skiing, Swimming, Table Tennis.
